At the Amish Mennonite Information Center, our goal is to help you get the most out of your time in Lancaster County, PA.
One of Lancaster County’s biggest attractions is the Amish community. All of our staff have Amish background and are very familiar with the Amish lifestyle and with must see attractions in the area.
While most other ways of planning your trip (especially websites) offer helpful information, the Amish Mennonite Information Center still believes in personal contact. If you make us your first stop when you arrive in Lancaster county we’ll be sure to load you down with all the information you’ll need to make your stay enjoyable and educational.
The Amish in Lancaster County are known for delicious “PA Dutch Cooking”. We have a nice selection of cookbooks with recipes that will delight your taste buds. You’ll also find souvenirs and helpful literature when you stop and see us.
We’re conveniently located along route 23 about 1 mile west of Morgantown. When traveling from the PA Turnpike take the Morgantown exit and head west on scenic route 23 (route 10 south connects to 23). We are located in a little red one-room school house which was used by the community children before being turned into a tourist information center. After stopping at our center you can continue on route 23 toward the best the Lancaster County has to offer.
